NC Snow Goose Hunting

Snow goose hunting is our passion at Fourth Generation Outfitters… our favorite type of hunting. We hope to share with you the excitement and challenge of going snow goose hunting. There is nothing more exciting than watching thousands of birds come from the refuges to the plentiful agricultural fields to feed. We start snow goose hunting during the NC Conservation season, which normally starts after the first Saturday in February.

At Fourth Generation Outfitters we hunt Snow geese in fields, early mornings. and we put out 300-1000 GHG FULL BODY decoys. This is a physical hunt, all hunters will be asked to put decoys out and pick up decoys at end of hunt. We hunt from  A-Frame blinds or our Pit Blind, and  recommend camo clothing and knee/muck boots.   We can take up to 8 hunters max; shots will range from 10-60 yards. We have a 3 hunter minimum per group. Groups of 6-8 hunters get the field just to their group. If you book a group of 6 and fall short of your 6th hunter, your group is responsible to make up the difference to the 6th hunter.

(These hunts are half days of hunting only, as this allows time for scouting in the afternoons.)

• DUE TO  UNEXPECTED WEATHER:  We can't guarantee weather or when the birds will fly, some things you just can't control. Your safety and the safety of our guides is our primary concern. 

 North Carolina Snow goose conservation begins after the first Saturday in February, and runs until the end of March. We can use e-callers and unplugged guns during this time. You must obtain a free snow goose conservation permit during this season. There is no limit per hunter.  Light Goose Conservation Season Permit Information

1. Field Hunt: Half day hunt. All hunters are asked to put out and pick up decoys. There is a 3 hunter minimum per groups booked. Max 8 Hunters.
